I hear people say they believe in God but they don't believe that Satan exist.
I really really really hate to hear God blamed for what the devil does. Something bad happens and people say, "how could god do that?" Well God didn't tell the drunk driver to go and get drunk and drive and kill a whole family but the devil got into that person's life and told him that it was ok to drink and drive and he chose to believe it and he was stubborn and so he did drive. I bet if you asked him if it was God or the devil that made him do it, if he answered truthfully he would know that it surely wasn't God.
God didn't tell someone to smoke all their lives and then die of cancer.
God didn't say don't look after your body, don't exercise, overeat everyday and spend a fortune in restaurants so that you'll have high blood pressure, heart decease, strokes and heart attacks.
God didn't say, go drive an airplane into the towers and kill thousands of innocent people!
God doesn't tell someone to take a gun and hold up a bank!! Come on people!!! Wake up!!
Some say, "Where was God when that happened"? HE was devastated like everyone else at the pure evilness that men chose to do!!!
God gave us free will, we are not puppets but we have been given the right to chose right and wrong. Without God it is a lot harder to chose if you haven't had the perfect family life and have not been taught what is right and wrong. That is when the devil comes in and has a field day with you. If your mother or father left you as a young child, he will say, "there see, you aren't good enough, your own father/mother doesn't want you so no one will ever want you" and you believe it and you live by it, or maybe someone tells you you will never amount to anything because you are too stupid and the devil loves that and joins right in reminding you every chance he gets. If you don't know what God thinks of you and you don't listen to what He says, you will live by those words and not even try to do anything good.
Haven't you ever done things that weren't right and after the fact said I knew I shouldn't have done that. How do you think you knew that? Is it possible that God was telling you not to do it but your evil desires inside you wanted to do wrong. Who did you listen too? Surely it wasn't God?
I have lived enough to know fully well that I can chose to ignore the voice of God and listen to the voice of the devil or my own selfish desires and I already did all the "poor me" thing because things were not going my way, but the fact is, and I'm not saying it is easy to do, but the fact is, I CHOSE to do the wrong things and I listened to the voice of the devil because I didn't know any better at the time and payed sometimes dearly for the consequences of my actions and then cried about it like it was someone else's fault for my weaknesses. Yes we all do this at one time or another.
I've since learned the devil only comes to kill, steal and destroy so if anything like that is going on in your life you can know that it is not God that is doing it but either the devil or your own evil desires that will cause your life to become a mess. Ask yourselves, is this killing, stealing or destroying anything in my life or the life of my family and friends, neighbors, workers, co-workers, etc.?
You see, the devil does not want you to know God because he knows that if you do, you will become free from his snares. Yes snares, he wants to trap you into getting into such a low place that you think you can't get out and he wants to steer you away from the knowledge of WHO God is...and trust me, HE IS SNEAKY!! He may even do it in such a way that you believe that it's God himself telling you to do wrong!! He will tell you that you are worthless, unfit for anything good, a loser, less than, stupid, crazy, obnoxious, slow, misfit, awkward, that you don't need God,he will make you believe that you have to be prideful, unforgiving, revengeful, hateful,cold hearted etc. etc....he can also use you to put others down by telling you that you are superior, smarter, wiser, better looking, more talented and more intelligent even more spiritual...probably even convince you that maybe you weren't born like everyone else, somehow he might even makes you forget that you were not born...pardon my expression but, between the legs of a woman like everyone else! Just that fact should tell you that you didn't come from anywhere greater than someone else. You were born in the same way, from the same place, without anything and you will die in the same way. You are an equal to the man begging on the streets but you may have been more blessed in your family life and therefore should be more humble for it.
Anyway I'm telling you "Virginia," that there is a devil and he roams around seeking whoever is open to it that he may devour you. He want to possess anyone who is willing to except his ways and do his will and then he secretly laughs at you and at God because he knows what he is doing to you. He loves having you at his beck and call and he hardly has to call because you are more than willing to do his bidding, maybe not on purpose for the most part, even unknowingly but because you refuse to believe you can be had by him.
1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Have you ever watched the movie "Yes Virginia there is a Santa Clause"? Well that one was a lie but there is a God and there is a devil. If you have a reverent fear of God you do not need to be afraid of the devil.
A reverent fear is only a knowledge of what God is capable of. God won't zap you at the least little thing you do but you have to know that there are consequence to your actions that God put into play at the beginning of the world, the law of the land, the way God made the world to work. This applies to anyone who doesn't follow God's ways. It doesn't matter who you are or what you have or haven't done. God does not favor anyone but the consequences of not following God's ways will be for everyone, either in this lifetime or when you die. You will be responsible for your actions one day. I would say it would be best to be responsible in THIS lifetime not when you have to stand before God after you die..Yikes!!!
Remember though that IF Jesus died for your sins and TAKES AWAY your sins, THEN your sins are gone and you are FREE!!!!!! YES AND AMEN!!!!

Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
