Rotten apples

Have you ever been disappointed when you bite into a bright healthy looking shiny red apple only to find it’s rotten on the inside?

So disappointing, here you are ready to take a big bite out of this juicy apple and you are so hungry for it but  it’s rotten to the core!!! Ugh
It looked fine from the outside but on the inside, yak! What now? Do I throw it away or do I eat what I can from it?

You can try putting it back together and it looks better but…………… It’s still rotten on the inside Sad smile
It’s so upsetting to have a rotten apple, but that’s life, there are a lot of rotten apples out there.

If you look at it from a different angle, you can kind of imagine what it looked like before but it’s still not the same.

Maybe if you turn it around….. maybe then it will be better….

It’s still rotten, it doesn’t matter what you do to it, you know it’s rotten.

It’s like when you meet someone and you get to know them and you think they are perfect. You just adore them… but all of a sudden you start seeing what’s inside them and they start to show their rotten center.
It’s so disappointing!  So what do you do?
Once you see something rotten in a person it’s very hard not to keep seeing it. It doesn’t matter how you look at them, it always seems to be there, and here you are wishing that it wasn’t so and trying to see them the way they were before when you thought they were perfect. It’s very hard to have a different view of them but keep looking it will be ok, eventually you will see the good that’s in them too.
It depends on how rotten they are I think, whether or not you should keep them as friends. If they are totally rotten through and through, probably for your best interest it’s best to keep your distance from them as close friends. We don’t need to be around people that will always put you down in some way.  People that are that rotten can drag you down if they are around you too much but don’t forget that these people have things that they need to work on just like you and God can change anyone! He may be still working on that person or that person hasn’t opened themselves up for God to heal those parts in them.
We can’t forget that we all have some rotten spots here and there and we are not to judge the rotten apples but we don’t have to put up with the rottenness that comes out of them.
But if the spots aren’t too bad, eat around the spots!!! Winking smile
