a real green dress

So I made this dress, actually it's my green top and skirt that I made last year. I didn't dare wear it together last year because it seemed like it would be too green but this year it feel just right and so I'm going to be wearing it together and I think it looks good. What do you think? I've never been much of a "green" person but these last couple of years that's all I can think about. It's green everything and not just a subtle green I'm talking lime green!!!! Wooooohoooo!

I match my decor lol

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!!!
I'm going to be singing tomorrow morning in the church choir a melody of about 6 great Easter songs!! We have been practicing for 5 weeks now and having a great time, but it will be nice when it's over as it gets pretty tiring always having to be somewhere all the time and listening to the same songs over and over and over until we know them by heart. We aren't allowed any words only following our conductors lead and if we miss the words we have to say watermelon, watermelon so no one will know we missed the words! lol  I think there might be a lot of watermelon going on! hahaha
So remember on Friday Jesus died for you and me, took my and your place and my and your sin on himself and on Monday HE ROSE FROM THE DEAD AND IS STILL ALIVE!!! So now if you and I believe in Him and except him in our hearts and ask for forgiveness WE ARE SET FREE FROM SIN and will be raised in heavenly places with Him!!! How do you come to him you might ask???  Just as you are!!!  It's a FREE gift from God!!! You just have to except it!!!
Lots of love and happiness to all wherever you are, may you be blessed beyond anything you could imagine!!!! xox

Chocolate banana cream pie Raw vegan style

This is a pie recipe I found on Pinterest. It is all raw and very very good although it is rich! I can't eat much of it and I shouldn't because there is a lot of nuts in this and nuts are fattening so don't be fooled in thinking you can eat your dessert and lose weight too. Eat it in moderation. I only ate 2 pieces and had to throw away the rest because I couldn't eat enough of it.
I don't plan on eating this again for a long time because of the high fat (even though it's good fat it is still fat) and I seem to have a hard time tolerating the nuts. It could be because they were not soaked and sprouted first. Since this I have started soaking and sprouting my nuts and seeds as this makes them much easier to digest. I haven't noticed any problems with the nuts since although I've only had them a couple of times.

This is my first attempt at getting a piece of pie, oh well it was still delicious!!!

There we go, this is much better but just as good the second time!!

                                        Yummy bite by bite

                                                Doesn't this look heavenly??

Good to the last drop, it's funny I didn't lick the plate....I have been known to do that!! lol
Here is the link to the recipe.

http://www.thisrawsomeveganlife.com/2012/11/chocolate-banana-pie-coconut-cream.html
I did not use the exact same ingredients because I did not have them on hand. I substituted the nuts with other nuts that I had...
I used walnuts, pecans and sunflower seeds a bit of salt and honey for the crust.
I did not use dates as a dislike them but used extra agave for sweetness. It turned out great even though.
Have a great night and let me know if you make it and how it turned out!!!!
See you later! xox

Healthy strawberry shake!!! Yummy!!!

So I'm trying out a raw vegan diet, I'm always trying new things to see if I can get rid of this Fibromyalgia and interstitial cystitis problems...I'm not totally raw but I'm easing into it...I started 8 days ago and I was feeling really good but today I'm having a bit of a problem. I've heard that when you detox they say that you go through your symptoms backwards. Even if you don't have the problems anymore it may come back up as you are detoxing. I believe this is true as I've detoxed before and have experienced this strange phenomenon.(That was a big word for me!) hehehe
I'm not sure if I'm just detoxing or if I've irritated things by consuming so much fruit or I'm feeling the effects of the storm that's coming tomorrow...I have problems with yeast and tolerating acids so I may have to go off of the high acid fruits such as oranges, strawberries, and sour things and eat the alkaline fruits and veggies such as apples, bananas, watermelon, apricots and yucky raisins lol...not sure yet, time will tell.

I was totally inspired by this beautiful lady who has been doing this for years! I hope I can look as good and healthy as she does some day!! Here is  her video
Try to guess how old she is!!!

I just ordered her books! Thanks Annette for being an inspiration!!

See my before and after of only 5 days

This is day 1

My skin broke out with little bumps and got all weird and blotchy and wrinkly but went away within a couple of days! Yikes, this isn't my best picture.... pretend you didn't see it!! lol

Day 3, I can see my skin changing and getting better and more even toned. Someday I may show you my before and after without makeup...yeah right!! Scary!! lol

Day 5....Don't you think the difference is amazing!! Just 5 days!!! Very bright skin and eyes and even toned, I only had to use a touch of foundation! It's like I have new eyes and skin!! And 5 lbs less to boot!! (You translators is just means that I have lost 5 pounds as a bonus!!)
My daughter told me how good I looked and how I looked 8 years younger!!! lol  I love it!!!! hahaha
That would make me 19???  I'll never tell!!! lol
She has also started (slowly) to eat more raw foods.
I sure hope I can stay on this way of eating!!

Here is my recipe for Strawberry Smoothies

1 cup almond milk or water
1 large banana
1/2 tsp of agave or honey (honey is not raw vegan)
about 15 frozen strawberries
Add strawberries to rest of ingredients in a blender until desired thickness
Yummy goodness!!! Make 1 tall glass

I'm having a coke float right now.....I just made my chocolate shake recipe Here and poured in Stevia coke that I got at the health food store. I actually ran out of almond milk and so I used water instead with the exact same results for anyone not liking almond milk. Personally I can't taste the difference.

healthy
No soy
No dairy
No refined sugars
Low fat
no meats
Low calories (only 120 calories for a large banana)

Have another healthy day, I'll probably have to wait until tomorrow!!! lol

Chocolatey thick healthy milkshake!!!

Oooooooooooh I love it!!! I can have my cake and eat it too!!!

I can drink this milkshake everyday and know that it is not a sin and going to my waist...or wherever it goes! This is very healthy to drink, slurp or smack your lips!
It's delicious and chocolatey!!!(that's chocolate tasting for you translators) AND I'll give you the recipe of how I make it!

Looky looky (that is look look!!! for you translators)  ( I do that because when I go to other websites of different languages I don't understand some of the words because they are slang or whatever and they do not translate to my language so because I want you to get the best from this blog I try to think of the people who need to translate this) I have to say too that I'm so thrilled to see all the different countries that visit my blog!! You guys are awesome!!! Some of you I have never even heard of but I look you up to see where you are! I hope you can find something here that you enjoy!! As for me, I've been enjoying this Chocolate Shake!

I recently, actually 6 days ago, started a 80-90% raw vegan diet! And I'm feeling fine!!!!!!! Actually it is a lifestyle change not a diet. What I eat are 80% fruits 10% veggies and 10% nuts and seeds. Google 80/10/10 diet for more information.
I can see a lot of different things changing in and outside of my body. This is me on day 5! I'm just amazed
at the clarity and brightness in my eyes and skin in such a short amount of time!!!

Spirit, weight, sickness, detoxing, major skin improvements, feelings of well being etc. etc. I think it's going to be a great thing....I'll keep you posted on it.

On to the chocolate shake!

Freeze two ripe organic bananas chopped in a freezer bag overnight (Ripe is when they have tiny brown spots on them)

Add 1 cup of almond milk to your blender (You can get this at any health food store or health food department in your grocery store.
Add 1 tsp of honey (Optional) Or natural sweeter of your choice (No white sugar)!!

Add 1/2 to 1 tsp cocoa depending on how dark you like it...start with a half. Remember cocoa without a lot of sweetener is bitter.

 Are you tempted yet?? lol
Add 1 tsp of pure vanilla (without alcohol)!  Check your ingredients

Blend ingredients and then slowly add your frozen banana until it is as thick as you like it.

Drink it while it is cold! Yummy!!!
And while you are at it why not have a plate of honeydew melon sprinkled with a touch of honey!!! Good for you!

Here is the recipe in a nutshell
Chocolate shake
2 frozen organic bananas
1 cup almond milk
1 tsp honey(optional)
1 tsp cocoa (depending how dark you like it)
1 tsp pure vanilla (without alcohol)
Blend it up and enjoy!!

No dairy products.
